Mixing Formula: Mortar

• 1 cu. yd. = 5 bags 94 lb. cement, 1/4 bag Type S Lime, 1 cu. yd. sand
• 1 yd. will install 500 blocks or 1,000 bricks
• Mixing Ratio: 5 1/2 sand, 1 cement, 1 fire clay

Mixing Formula: Concrete

• 5 bags 94 lb. cement, 1 cu. yd. sand and gravel
• 1 yd. will cover approx. 81 sq. ft. 4" deep
• Mixing Ratio: 5 1/2 sand and gravel, 1 cement
• Exposed aggregate concrete - approx. 3 lbs. per sq. ft. (surface area)

Quikrete Coverage Formula

• Concrete mix - 80 lb. bag = 2/3 cu. ft.
• Mason mix - 60 lb. bag = 56 bricks, 24 blocks
